FastObjects is an object-oriented database management system designed to store C++ and Java objects. FastObjects understands C++ class declarations with support for encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, object identity, and object references.

History

The original name of the DBMS was POET (Persistent Objects and Extended database Technology). It was sold to Actian and rebranded as Versant FastObjects.
