Splice Machine

Splice Machine (also called SpliceSQL) is a SQL DBMS built on top of HBase and SparkSQL. All queries first are parsed using Apache Derby and then split into separate execution plans for HBase and Spark.

History

The Splice Machine company filed for insolvency in 2021 and the project ceased development.
