Swytch is a Redis and Memcached-compatible in-memory caching system designed to provide full data durability without performance penalties. It operates as a fully managed, drop-in replacement for existing cache infrastructure.

History

Developed by Bottled Code, Swytch was created to address the traditional tradeoffs between caching throughput and data persistence found in systems like Redis AOF/RDB. The project launched in early access as a managed service, allowing users to swap connection strings without provisioning servers or managing clusters.
