History
Created by Wayne Erickson in 1981 on a CP/M system, the database was initially marketed by MicroRim, Inc., which Erickson incorporated with his brother Ron. The product underwent several version updates across DOS and early Windows platforms. In June 1998, R:BASE Technologies, Inc. acquired the product line from Abacus Software Group. Development continued with releases for Windows, including versions up to R:BASE X.5.
