History
Founded in 1980 by J. Patrick Kennedy, OSIsoft developed the PI System for real-time data collection and analysis. The company remained privately held until August 2020, when AVEVA announced its acquisition. The transaction was completed on March 19, 2021, after which the product line was integrated into AVEVA's portfolio.
